This compact 3-12 first focal plane optic makes for a great hunting scope that outpaces your 3-9 powered scopes that seem to be lacking that extra zoom you want downrange. The lower end of the magnification still allows for a wide field of view for glassing and spotting but the 12x allows you to really focus in on the exact aim point on smaller targets whether up close or far away.
